Steps From the Sand, in Guiones
A luxury villa in Guiones — five minutes on foot from the beach, with a pool to come back to after the water. Shared and private room options. Mornings start steps from the sand: surf the break, walk back, train, and let the afternoon be yours.

A Luxury Guiones Villa

Daily Reformer With Alex
Six reformer sessions across the week at the Guiones studio — four Strength, one Deep Stretch, and one Jump Cardio.
5 Surf Mornings
Four coached sessions for all levels, plus a free surf together on Friday for whoever's still got the stoke. Photos and video of you in the water, included.
Morning & Sunset Yoga
A morning class with Nosara's top vinyasa teacher, plus a restorative sunset yoga and sound bath session later in the week.
Chef Breakfasts & Dinners
Light early breakfast (surf fuel), full late morning breakfast, and four dinners prepared by our chef at the villa. Farewell dinner at a mountain-top restaurant overlooking all of Nosara.
Extras & Excursions
A sunset catamaran tour and a massage at the villa, Nosara's daily 5:30 beach ritual, plus optional afternoon add-ons — ATV, coffee farm, and SUP river tours.
Not included: flights, airport transfers (we'll help coordinate trusted shuttles), gratuities, and travel insurance. Lunches are yours — your time to wander out and find what Guiones has to offer, plus one free evening to explore Nosara on your own.

Your Retreat Leader
Meet Alex, founder of Black Cat Studio Pilates. If you’ve taken her classes in Nosara, you already know the deal: she’s equal parts precision and play, and she’ll push you in all the right ways without ever making things weird or woo-woo.
With a over a decade of teaching under her belt (Pilates, yoga, and surf) Alex is known for her smart, challenging, and community-centered approach. At the retreat, she’ll guide you through daily sessions that make you feel stronger and a whole lot more grounded… without taking over your entire day.
Basically: she’s here to make you feel good, laugh a little, and move in a way your future self will thank you for.

Not at all! Our retreat welcomes all levels—from complete beginners to experienced practitioners. Our small classes allow instructors to tailor the practice to your needs.

You’ll stay in a luxury villa in Guiones — about a five-minute walk from the sand, with a pool to come back to after the water. Shared and private room options are both available, so solo travelers are welcome.

We’ll provide tuk tuk driver recommendations (at your expense), and ATV rentals are available as an add-on if you’d like more freedom to explore.

Each day blends Pilates, yoga, and adventure with plenty of downtime. Expect Reformer Pilates sessions daily, wellness excursions, and free afternoons to relax or explore.

Our in-house chef can accommodate most dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.). Please share your requirements when booking.

Liberia (LIR) is the easy one — the closest international airport, about a 2.5–3 hour drive to Guiones, mostly highway with a short unpaved stretch at the end. Most guests fly here and take a shuttle (we’ll help coordinate). San José (SJO) often has cheaper or more direct flights from more cities, but it’s a 5–6 hour drive — so from SJO the smart move is the puddle-jumper: a roughly 40-minute Sansa Airlines flight straight into Nosara’s airstrip (NOB), about 10 minutes from Guiones. Sansa also flies the short hop from Liberia (around 20–30 min) if you’d rather skip the drive. Note the small planes have strict luggage limits (about 30 lb) and run daylight-only, roughly 6am–4pm.
