Pilates Basics

  • Pilates is a low-impact exercise method that builds strength, flexibility, and control through precise, intentional movements. It’s especially focused on the core, posture, and functional movement.

  • A Reformer is a specialized Pilates machine with springs, a sliding carriage, and straps. It provides adjustable resistance to help you build strength, flexibility, and balance in a controlled way.

  • Mat Pilates uses body weight and small props, while Reformer Pilates uses spring resistance and equipment. Reformers allow for more variety, resistance, and support, making it accessible for beginners and challenging for advanced students.

  • Even 1–2 classes per week can make a noticeable difference in strength and posture within a month. Many clients attend 3–4 times a week for faster progress.
