Pilates Teacher Training in Nosara, Costa Rica
BCS Training is a 70+ hour reformer Pilates instructor certification built on The Black Cat Method — the same precision-first teaching framework behind every class at Nosara’s top-rated Pilates studio.
This is not a weekend workshop. Over six weeks, you will learn to cue with specificity, program progressive reformer sequences, and teach with the confidence that comes from real hours on the studio floor. Small cohorts mean direct mentorship, not a lecture hall.
Next cohort: June 15 – July 25, 2026. Tuition: $1,500 USD.

Why Choose Black Cat Studio Pilates Teacher Training?
-
You won’t learn generic reformer sequencing. BCS Training is built on The Black Cat Method — three pillars (Precision First, Progressive Challenge, Functional Integration) that give graduates a specific, teachable framework no other certification offers.
-
This isn’t a lecture-and-test program. You’ll cue real clients, teach real classes, and get direct feedback from a working studio owner. By graduation, you’ll have logged more practice hours than most weekend certifications provide.
-
Cohorts are capped at 10 trainees. You get direct mentorship from Alex, not a room full of strangers and a slide deck. Questions get answered. Cueing gets corrected. You graduate confident.
-
Comparable reformer certifications cost $3,000–$5,000+. BCS Training delivers comprehensive instruction at a price point that makes becoming an instructor accessible, with a pathway to Balanced Body’s Bridge Program for those who want accreditation.
-
Spend six weeks in one of the world’s Blue Zones. Surf before class. Train in an air-conditioned studio with brand-new reformers. Join a wellness community that makes Nosara one of the top destinations for Pilates training in Central America.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long is the Pilates Teacher Training?
Our Pilates Teacher Training lasts 6 weeks, providing ample time for comprehensive instruction and practical teaching experience.
Is the program accredited?
BCS Training is not accredited, which is why we can offer 70+ hours of instruction for $1,500 instead of $3,000–5,000. Our graduates can pursue accreditation through Balanced Body’s Bridge Program or similar pathways. What you get here that accredited programs often don’t: extensive teaching hours with real clients in a working studio, direct mentorship from a studio owner, and training in a named methodology (The Black Cat Method) that differentiates you from every other new instructor.
What are the class sizes?
We maintain small, intimate class sizes of about 10 participants to ensure personalized attention and effective learning.
Are accommodations included?
Accommodations are not included but are conveniently available separately nearby. We can assist you in finding great options.
Do I need prior Pilates experience?
Yes. We require that applicants have attended at least 15 Pilates classes (at BCS or elsewhere). Our training is designed to accommodate various skill levels, including beginners, but participants must have at least had an introduction prior to training.
Can I work at Black Cat Studio after the training?
Yes — top-performing graduates are invited to audition for a teaching position at BCS. Our current instructors were trained in-house. We hire from our own program because graduates already teach using The Black Cat Method and understand our standards.
